High school sweethearts John and Kailey King married in 2009 and quickly built a life rooted in faith, family, and community. Kailey pursued a career as an Occupational Therapist, while John began coaching and teaching in 2010. John later accepted a position at Brock High School in 2014, and the couple, along with their three children have called Brock home ever since.

John’s brother, Jace, has always been an integral part of the journey. The brothers grew up in the restaurant world; their father owned Beefmaster Steakhouse in Ballinger, TX. In 2019, Jace and John opened Beefmaster Steakhouse in Weatherford, carrying on that family tradition. The brothers have worked tirelessly to make their dreams of owning more restaurants a reality.

John, Kailey and Jace often dreamed of creating a place closer to home where families could gather, eat, and enjoy time together. That dream came alive in 2025 when the opportunity arose to purchase The Daily Grind building. After much prayer, the vision was clear: this was more than a restaurant.

That vision became The Spot. With a menu of burgers, wings, wraps, and salads, John and Jace created a place designed to be quick, fresh, and family-friendly. This made for the perfect place for school employees, students, and busy families. More than just food, The Spot is about community. It’s a place for fundraisers, concerts, cook-offs, and connection.

 

At The Spot, every customer is family. Our hope is that you leave feeling just as blessed as when you arrived, knowing this place was built with love, prayer, and a vision bigger than ourselves.
